Pat Routledge on "Creating a Certified
Naturescape Backyard" |
NOTE: Second Monday of the month to accommodate statutory holiday.
Fort Whyte Alive offers a certification program to Manitobans who
encourage biodiversity in their own backyard. Pat Routledge will
demonstrate how easy it is to provide a suitable habitat for the
wide variety of species of plant and wildlife indigenous to
Manitoba.
Although not native to Manitoba herself, Pat Routledge has lived in
Winnipeg for over 30 years and has been an avid gardener for almost
the same length of time. Having grown up in sugar maple bush
territory in southern Ontario, Pat is a country girl at heart whose
ultimate goal is to create a country retreat in the middle of
Winnipeg suburbia where the majority of her yard is either edible or
a safe haven for wildlife.
